Changing the narrative
My wellness coaching journey started with my own perimenopause experience. At 45, I lost my mom and had a hysterectomy within 3 months. A low mood and busy lifestyle caused me to gain 14 kg over 6 years, leading to a major health scare. Watching my mom struggle with yo-yo dieting, I believed it was impossible to lose weight after 50. Frustrated with the negative cyclical pattern, I knew I needed a lasting lifestyle change - and so I set about doing just that with making small changes every week and tracking them.
The results have been outstanding!
The results have been incredible—I feel like I'm in a renaissance! At 53, I'm in better shape than I was in my 30s! The ‘off the scale’ improvements are so motivating: I can run up stairs, bend without groaning, and my metabolic age has gone from 53 to 44 to 42 ! I've taken up tennis and pickleball and love it. But it’s not just about weight loss—I have a healthier relationship with food, exercise and myself!
What I learned along the way
I didn’t have a time problem, I had a priority problem! I made space for nourishing meals, mindful moments, and movement. Over two and a half years, small, consistent changes added up to a completely new lifestyle which made the process sustainable. With the right information and a focus on well-being, I reclaimed my health and embraced this stage of life.

When our bodies are out of balance they send signals like weight gain, low energy, bloating, lethargy, skin breakouts and poor sleep quality to get our attention. It’s no surprise then that those are the main challenges people come to me with, however, addressing those challenges not only help with weight, energy and sleep but so much more!
As you can see Helen gained much more than just a new number on the scale, she can now keep that number where she wants it and is now on her way to running a half marathon alongside her husband!

My coaching techniques help you gain a new understanding of yourself and your relationship with your lifestyle as well as guiding you to make choices around your preferences and limitations. You will start to be the expert in your own health journey!
With the SHIFT program I keep you focused on progress (not perfection!). First I start with ‘Project: You’ and then we move to ‘Project : New Normal’ where we add in the positive element of online community support, accountability & FUN! I am there for you daily too!
